A life without pain would be nice, wouldn’t it? Unfortunately, that’s pretty unusual because life happens. Either there are injuries or repetitive stresses or disabilities or imbalances that, one way or the other, make themselves felt as a dulling, throbbing ache or a sharp, stabbing pain or a cramp that causes you to seize up without warning. Pain hurts! Wouldn’t it be great to do something about your pain?
If you’re reading this, you are looking for relief from a a stiff neck, an aching back, painful hips, zinging feet and/or stiff, aching hands.
Your neck pain keeps you up at night or leaves you with headaches. Your sore back means that you can’t bend down to pick up your child or grandchild, or maybe you no longer can participate in activities that you used to enjoy, like sports or gardening or fishing. Your painful hips mean sitting hurts but you can’t go out and enjoy much when you’re standing, either. Your feet stop you from enjoying hikes or cute shoes or dancing on a Saturday night. Your hands, especially if you use them in your work or leisure activities (Are you a musician or a haircutter or a weekend exercise enthusiast? Do you love to knit or paint?), need to not hurt because you really use them…and yet, they do hurt, and quite a lot. Pain gets in the way of a happy, fulfilled life and it’s frustrating and apt to spiral.
You know what? I can help you! Each individual’s pain is unique and yours is too. Figuring out what causes your pain and what can be done to alleviate your pain is my mission from the moment you first walk in until you tell me “Thank you, I feel great!” at the end of your session.

You want to be able to take walks or go for a jog. You’d love to be able to sleep easily again. If you use your hands for your life’s work you want to be able to perform your professional activity without hindrance. I know my musician clients love not having stiff fingers and my hair stylists are very glad to be able to work without excruciating aches in the wrist and forearm. I just gave a treatment to a surgeon recently and they got up off the table and marveled at how amazing their back, neck, and dominant hand felt as a result of some cupping followed by tui na massage therapy. Another one of my success stories involves a client with Morton’s neuroma (those horrible inflamed nerves one can get on the foot…oh, do they hurt!). After a series of treatments, this person no longer felt an excruciating zing with every step. Instead, they are now able to walk, wear cute shoes, and complete their work obligations without wincing every time they set their foot down. Their results are amazing and so very gratifying for both of us.
