Asian Bodywork Therapy (Chinese style)


Tui na:  Chinese style bodywork is absolutely marvelous as a healthy, restorative act of self-care (no injuries or anxieties required), yet this form of Asian bodywork therapy is a separate medical specialty in China.  With massage-like techniques, Chinese tui na balances the energetic system in order to nourish and support body, emotions, mind, and spirit.  This therapy also similar to an acupuncture treatment…but without the needles.  If you have injuries, aches, or anxieties, this is a wonderful modality for these and other conditions. And, last but not least, this is a modality that is also used to great effect for facial rejuvenation and other cosmetic purposes.

As appropriate, a bodywork treatment can also include cupping, gua sha, ear seeds, and/or moxibustion therapy or you can choose to experience these as stand-alone treatments.

 Health Coaching

Do you have an idea (or no idea) of what your personal version of optimal health looks and feels like?  What is between you and your vision of vibrant and abundant wellness?  Do you want to take control of your wellbeing?  Health coaching services are designed for exploration and discovery, to promote long-term health gains, and to foster life-long change.  Depending on your needs, this option might include wellness programming in the form of short-term personal training or yoga instruction.  We might also include, depending on need, guided meditation, and/or reiki.  Everyone is different and your program will be designed with your unique needs and sensibilities in mind.


Mind-Body Wellness Programs

Personal training and/or yoga lessons at Two Hearts Wellness are target specific and usually designed for short term duration.  There are two primary reasons to sign on for fitness programming or yoga with me:

1).  You’ve had some wonderful cosmetic bodywork treatments with me and you want to make sure the results last as long as possible.  If I’m helping you with weight loss or facial rejuvenation, for instance, it can be useful to create a personalized program to follow on your own time.  This can help you maintain the balance and beauty you achieve after treatment by learning some targeted yoga postures or exercise protocols.

2).  You’ve had some wonderful functional wellness bodywork treatments and you want to keep the learning and healing going on outside of the treatment room.  Do you find that you are stuck in your fitness-wellness practice?  Do you feel that there is a connection between your emotions and your body but you can’t quite access it?  Maybe you have a mental block somewhere and you need some physical activity that will help you think it through and help you to create the changes you desire.  I can observe your balance and form, offer insight, and help you to create mindful physical exercise that might just be the spiritual or emotional breakthrough that you need.
