Asian Bodywork Therapy (Chinese style)
Tui na: Chinese style bodywork is absolutely marvelous as a healthy, restorative act of self-care (no injuries or anxieties required), yet this form of Asian bodywork therapy is a separate medical specialty in China. With massage-like techniques, Chinese tui na balances the energetic system in order to nourish and support body, emotions, mind, and spirit. This therapy also similar to an acupuncture treatment…but without the needles. If you have injuries, aches, or anxieties, this is a wonderful modality for these and other conditions. And, last but not least, this is a modality that is also used to great effect for facial rejuvenation purposes.
As appropriate, a bodywork treatment can also include cupping, gua sha, and/or moxibustion therapy.
